Sumner Mansion - David Sumner, a prominent lumber businessman, owned and occupied this home during his most prosperous years (1811-1867). The Sumner Mansion, said to be one of the best examples of Federal Architecture in Vermont, has been owned by only four families since 1807. It is on the National Register of Historic Places.
