Plymouth, Vermont

Plymouth is best known as the home of the 30th U.S. President, Calvin Coolidge. The only president born on the 4th of July, Coolidge grew up here in the late 1800's, and the village of Plymouth Notch pays homage to this fact by maintaining itself as a snapshot of the time. Visitors can tour the family store and residence, seeing such spots as the room where Coolidge was sworn in by his father (after the death of Warren Harding) and the president's burial plot. The Plymouth Cheese Company, founded by Calvin Coolidge's father, is also here.

Events in Plymouth include the Plymouth Cheese & Harvest Festival, Plymouth Old Home Day, the Plymouth Folk and Blues Concerts, and the Coolidge Holiday Open House. Find all Plymouth events here.
