Description: Volunteers are needed on Saturday, May 21, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., to plant trees and shrubs for erosion control and to create a riparian buffer along the Ottauquechee Riverbank in Woodstock, VT. The effort is being coordinated by the Ottauquechee Natural Resources Conservation District (ONRCD).

The project began in 2009 with the planting of 1,000 willow fascines and 300 hardwood trees through the cooperative efforts of the Ottauquechee River Group, Trout Unlimited, Woodstock’s Change the World Kids (recognized in People Magazine), Billings Farm & Museum, and the Woodstock Foundation, and was completed in one day.
