Description: The Stowe Tour de Snow is a non-timed event designed for families and will take place on the 5.3 mile Stowe Recreation Path. This inclusive and fun event will offer participants many activities! The main start is at the north end of the Rec Path at the Topnotch Nordic Barn on the Mountain Road (VT Route 108). Activities being considered include: paintball target shooting, kick-sled races, stretching at a yoga center, treasure hunt, hockey puck shooting, plus many others. There will be stations along the way to sample hot apple cider, cocoa, and other tasty snacks. All of this will be organized, staffed and sponsored by local businesses along the path. Feeling tired or the kids are getting cranky? Just stroll to the always nearby Mountain Road and hop on the free Stowe Shuttle to take you back to your car. More adventurous and experienced skiers will have the option to add to the challenge and gain some extra miles by starting at the Trapp Family Lodge Nordic Center. This route will follow a portion of the Catamount Trail, Vermont’s famous end-to-end backcountry ski trail, before joining the Rec Path near the Nordic Barn.
