Waterbury, Vermont

For years, Waterbury was best known as the home to the Vermont State Hospital. Although the hospital is all but gone, other notable establishments, including Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Factory, the Cabot Annex Store and Cold Hollow Cider Press now give Waterbury a slightly different air. Located at the junction of Interstate 89 and Route 100, Waterbury is also home to the Mt. Mansfield State Forest and Little River State Park.

1836 Cabins - Secluded but accessible to all the fun and activites of Stowe, Waterbury, and the surrounding areas, 1836 Cabins is the perfect place to enjoy your romantic honeymoon, vacation with the family, or just to get away. Our cabins are fully furnished and equipped with many comforts.

Bird's Nest Inn - Enjoy a lazy summer day relaxing on our lawn chairs, fall asleep in our hammock, or strike up a fun game of horseshoes. Experience nature trails and other civilized pleasures.

The Black Bear Inn - Our twenty-four individually decorated rooms include such amenities as beds adorned with handmade patchwork quilts, fireplaces, wood stoves, balconies, and a private bath.

Grunberg Haus Bed and Breakfast - Nine second-floor guest rooms and two third-floor suites furnished with antiques, comforters and quilts. Each room opens to a balcony which surrounds the Inn and provides relaxing views of the Green Mountains. Three secluded cabins, each with a sitting area, queen-size bed, and mountain-view deck, are tucked on a mountainside along trails up in the woods.

Inn at Blush Hill - Spectacular views, delicious country breakfasts, and a warm friendly atmosphere all combine to provide our guests with a true bed and breakfast experience.

May Farm Bed & Breakfast - The new owners have preserved the unique original structure and have added fine Vermont furniture, room air conditioning, private European style baths, stained glass and antiques of the green mountain state.

Old Stagecoach Inn - The Old Stagecoach Inn is a classic Vermont bed and breakfast built in 1826. It has served as a tavern, stagecoach stop, and a private residence and is now one of Waterbury Vermont's most well-known historic Inns.

The Thatcher Brook Inn - Our twenty-four guest rooms are romantically decorated in classic Vermont country style and superior rooms feature fireplaces and/or whirlpools.

von Trapp's Hunger Mountain Inn - Nestled in a Vermont country setting in the village of Waterbury Center, with panoramic views of the Worcester Mountain Range and Mount Hunger, Camel's Hump and Mt. Mansfield, von Trapp’s Hunger Mountain Inn enjoys a quiet village setting, fresh mountain air and pastoral scenery.

The Black Bear Inn - Start the day with a full country breakfast that includes our homemade muffins and locally-tapped maple syrup. Later, savor full-course, candlelight dinners which rival the gourmet creations of New England's most esteemed restaurants. Our desserts are masterful creations in themselves.

Restaurant at Thatcher Brook Inn - The award-winning Restaurant at Thatcher Brook Inn features the finest in nouveau American and French country cuisine. From lobster-stuffed coho trout to roast rack of lamb to filet mignon, our Executive Chef, Jonathan Nelson, presents a menu which satisfies the most discriminating palate.
