Maple Broiled Scallops

¼ cup maple syrup
¼ tsp. horseradish
sea scallops -- enough for four to six people -- each wrapped in 1/3 strips bacon and secured with a toothpick

Mix together the maple and horseradish. Brush mixture on bacon-wrapped scallops and broil for three minutes. Turn, brush again and broil for two to three minutes, or until bacon is crisp.
